Food Stalls and Henry V

Thursday, January 30, 2014

Hello! I hope your week is going well so far! Mine has been busy, but fun- we went to the National Gallery on Monday (it was fabulous and I will definitely be back multiple times), had an exam Tuesday, and saw Henry V with Jude Law last night! I didn't really understand all of the hype about Jude Law, but he was amazing. Henry V, if you've read it you know, can be dull especially if the actor playing Henry isn't very energetic and charismatic. Jude Law was all of those. He commanded the stage and made the show amazing. Plus he's not too bad on the eyes :) Anyways, today was kind of dreary so we went to the Churchill War Rooms, which are a definite must see if you come to London. They are so interesting and you really get a feel for what it was like for the British government during WWII. After the War Rooms, we went to Covent Garden, which is a very touristy place, but they have these amazing food stalls on Thursday. I got a panini with mozzarella, prosciutto, tomatoes, pesto, and arugula (or rocket as the British say). It was delicious! XO

Scarf: I found this on super sale at Zara so check out your local store. Here are two similar options 1 and 2, CoatPurse, Jeans, Boots

Pink and Patent Leather

Tuesday, January 28, 2014

Happy Tuesday! I am sorry I haven't been able to post in a few days, but we had our first exam today (ew). However, everything was better because of the new clothes I bought on Saturday. First we went to Zara, which is always fabulous, but they were also having an awesome sale! That is where I bought this scarf. Then we went to Top Shop, which was having an even bigger sale. There, I finally got my pink coat that I have been searching for! It was all very exciting :) I also got these fabulous patent leather smoking slippers, which are absolutely adorable! Yesterday we went to the National Gallery, probably one of my favorite museums. It is absolutely gorgeous! I don't know what we are doing for the rest of today, but tomorrow we are going to see Henry 5 with Jude Law! I am so excited and I will definitely post after it :) XO

Cafes and brownies

Friday, January 24, 2014

Hello all! Today was a beautiful day in London! We didn't have classes so a few of us wondered around Primrose Hill, found some adorable shops and great cafes! I ended up having tea and one of the best brownies ever. It was also my first time putting lemon in my tea and I must say it was delicious! It kind of tasted like an Arnold Palmer, but hot. Tomorrow we are hopefully going shopping (!!!) and maybe going to Buckingham Palace! I will definitely post pictures :) Check out this week's Her Campus article about redefining your style in the new year! XO

Winter Whites

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

Hello, this is my first outfit post from England!! How exciting :) It has definitely been chilly here, but not any chiller than home and the rain hasn't been that bad at all! I am finally settled in and starting to explore our neighborhood and the rest of London! Last night, we saw Richard II at the Barbican with David Tennant as Richard. I didn't really have nay expectations, but it was awesome! The theatre itself was beautiful and had the most interesting curtain I have ever seen. Instead of two big cloth materials coming in from left and right, two metal flats came in from the floor and the ceiling. It was all very exciting. The show itself was very well done and David Tennant was excellent. Tomorrow we are going on a scavenger hunt in London, which will be very exciting! XO

Glasses, Scarf: My scarf is from Anthropologie and I couldn't find the exact one. The first option is a fur one and the second one is just a cream one. 1 2, Necklace, Shirt, Sweater, Vest, Jacket, Purse, Jeans, Boots

Happy 2014!  I am back home and finally have access to internet again! Let me tell you, going somewhere super warm over Christmas was amazing, but it was very disconcerting to come back to 30-degree weather. I hope y'all had a fabulous New Year's Eve and a wonderful start to the New Years. I certainly did, but it was very calm, nothing too exciting or crazy. This week is going to be very hectic trying to get everything ready for my trip over the pond, but I will definitely keep you updated and I am most certainly going to be blogging from London :) XO

I had no idea this is how a pineapple grew!
